Don (better known as Rob) Brown is 28 years old and lives in Langford. He is married with 3 children aged 7, 5 and 4. Don has lived in the Victoria area for the past 7 years and has lived his whole life on Vancouver Island. He graduated from Nanaimo District Secondary School in the French Immersion Program. He then attended Vancouver Island university and later Camosun College where he graduated from the Plumbing and Heating program. He works for Northern Star Plumbing and Heating.

This will be Don’s first time running for elected office. He is running for School Trustee in the District 62 (Sooke) in the Belmont Zone. He has helped out his father with his School Board campaigns. Don is active in many sports in particular lacrosse and hockey. He has coached youth lacrosse for the past two years.

Don has a keen interest in education and hopes to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather (both named Don) and provide excellent representation for his constituents. He is very excited about working with the Board to build the two new high schools in Glen Lake and Royal Bay. These two projects will provide excellent learning centers for our students, and provide lots of work for the building trades in the West Shore for the next several years. He is also anxious to have the teachers bargaining come to a successful settlement. He looks forward to maintaining positive relationships with District 62 staff and students.
